Yoga Basics for Beginners

Curious about yoga or just in the beginning stages of your yoga journey? I designed this workshop is designed with you in mind.

Throughout my teaching career I have been sought out by many would be students who were intimidated by the practice of yoga but were hungry to give it a go as well as those in the beginning stages of their practice who desired a deeper understanding and little more guidance in the art of yoga.

Yoga Basics for Beginners is designed to help you build confidence in your yoga practice by providing important fundamentals to ensure you get off to great start in your yoga journey.

Additionally, you will learn and explore proper breathing techniques that will help you move with your body. You will learn about the benefits of yoga as you experience it through this beautiful and gentle practice.

This is a very hands on workshop providing thorough guidance, ample adjustments (hands on or verbal cue per student preference), and modifications as needed for the success of each student.

This experience will provide you with a firm foundation upon which to build or continue to build your yoga practice.

Join Me for this transformative Summer Solstice event as we collectively welcome in this season of splendor!

I will open with a brief guided meditation bringing you into stillness in preparation for this amazing Sun honoring Vinyasa.

As we move collectively in spiritual community through this grounding, Soul reviving Vinyasa know as Surya Namaskar, (Sun Salutation), we open ourselves to self acceptance and healing energy of both the external and internal Sun, the Manipura, resetting and realigning our energy centers. This is a humbling practice for all levels. During this practice I will guided you keeping the focus on surrender, self love and acceptance and non-judgement of self and thereby others.

Keep reading my Loves…as this practice is suited to ALL levels with appropriate and extremely helpful modifications.

As you unfold into Savasana you will bask in the vibration of the signing bowl, moving into harmony with your newly aligned self. During this state of rest I will be providing complementary, cooling eucalyptus and lavender infused towelettes. Finally, I will guide you as we close with a Mantra in the call and response style, sealing in this deep, soul awakening work.

Stay to partake of this wonderful community and enjoy delicious light refreshments and eats that will nourish the body, mind and soul.

Intimidated or frustrated by meditation? Does the mere thought of it leave you longing yet currents of “Ugh!”, racing through your head.

Then this is the workshop for you!

Join Me for Meditation 101! This workshop is designed to take all the guess work out of meditation while providing you with a simple set of tools to begin your meditation journey.

We will begin with some basic breath work, then using a simple system developed by me. We will collectively put these steps into practice as I guide you into meditation. I will be gently guiding you in and out of mini meditations, approximately 10 - 15 minutes each. I will close with a final meditation in which you will guide yourself, (don’t worry I will prompt you as you go), putting to practice what you have learned and taking note of any challenges.

Meditation, like anything takes a committed practice. The BEAUTY of meditation is that it can begin with as little as five minutes a day. Yes, it’s True!

After class join in community for a complimentary, soul satisfying delectable treat from a beloved local hot spot.

Just Breathe - Fundamentals of Breathwork

Come gather around the fire for an evening of relaxation and unwinding as I guide you, delving into the beauty and practice of Breathwork.

Breathing involves our whole body and it is through our bodies intelligence that we do this with organic ease, it is our Life Force. But what happens when seen or unforeseen stress is thrown into the mix of daily life? For many, the organic function of breathing becomes short and shallow even holding the breath becomes an unconscious option as a coping skill, creating fatigue, irritability, often holding us in a chronic state of “fight or flight”.

But what if I told you that it is possible through the practice of breathwork and awareness to reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety and fatigue, assist in releasing toxins from the body, elevate mood and bring a sense of calm to the mind and body? These are just a few of the many amazing effects that the practice of breathwork and awareness have been known produce.

In this workshop I will teach about the benefits of breathwork and awareness as I guide you in using simple but highly effective breathing techniques that have been known to create a sense of calm, peace and clarity, which will allow you to make conscious, intentional decisions out of awareness rather then reactive emotion.

At the close of this workshop I will end the practice with a simple guided meditation where you will practice utilizing your newly discovered breathing techniques.

Please join afterward in community as we indulge in creating delicious S’mores! (All ingredients to make these scrumptious treats will be provided for you.)
